Dear Onita and the staff at Chips,
Curly hair has been a major battle for me all of my life. Years ago I saw an advertisement for a salon announcing someone new who had joined their staff who specialized in hair relaxing. It was Onita, and I thought, "Who knows better about curly hair than a black person?" I was so right. She did an amazing job. I then became a regular customer and when she moved on to her own salon, I moved with her. I am a regular customer as well as my son and daughter. I no longer relax my hair, but Onita has taught me how to work with curls and a way to love them. I am constantly stopped and get compliments. Onita also colors my hair and is a real perfectionist in everything she does. If I really want a change, Onita will blow out my hair and always does an amazing job. Onita runs a very professional salon, and has trained her employees in the most positive ways. You always enter the salon (which is immaculate) to greetings from everyone. Onita is warm, caring, and only wants to please. Not only do I have an owner/customer relationship, I truly have a wonderful friend. I am always referring new customers, and all I can end this letter with is my compliments to Onita and everyone at Chips Salon! The salon is spacious, comfortable, and contemporary. The salon has a variety of beauty care services that are offered. The staff is pleasant and accommodating. It is very convenient for me to go to the salon on my way home from work. It's a relaxing way to end a pressure-packed day. All my life I have battled with extremely thick, coarse, wavy/curly hair and have lost the fight until I came to Chips. It was a life-altering experience for me. Onita used the Yuko system on my hair and the battle was won. Not only did I have straight hair, but the silkiest, smoothest, shiniest hair you could dream of. I was elated and continue to be to this day! I have had the Yuko done about 5 times now without any damage to my hair. In fact, itŐs healthier than ever. Onita tackles coloring and haircutting with the same zest as she does straightening, and is truly a master at all these crafts and an educator as well. Chips Salon offers a wide variety of services by a talented staff of professionals, and I assure anyone who goes there a terrific beautifying experience.
